This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for MFIP Connect. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by the MFIP Connect app.

Information Use and Sharing

By opting to use MFIP Connect, you grant permission to your employment services provider and county welfare agency to communicate, share and exchange with each other, and with you, your private employment and training data and private welfare data through the MFIP Connect mobile app. It is necessary for these agencies to share private information with each other and you for the purposes of general case management and for the participation in the program. Only with your consent and voluntary use of MFIP Connect will these agencies share private information about you they could not otherwise share without your consent.

Upon your consent, information about your use of MFIP Connect is shared with the Future Services Institute at the University of Minnesota for the purpose of evaluating and making improvements to the MFIP Connect mobile app. This consent allows only the sharing of de-identified information about your use of the MFIP Connect app and does not include authorization to share any personally identifiable, private information about you held by your Employment Services Provider or county welfare agency.

Data Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the mobile app, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job related to your participation in MFIP are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
